Heidi Stevens, art collector and friend of Sam, has an urgent request. She wants Sam to prove her friend, a famous painter living in Hamlet, is innocent of murder. Sam's not that interested in the task and Becky has forbidden him from getting involved in any more murders. But there's a problem. Someone is very clearly trying to kill Sam---and maybe Becky too. Is it related to the murder the painter is accused of? Sam doesn't think so, but who is trying to kill him now? And don't even ask what Sam is supposed to do about Bobby Wieters' ax murdered wife. There are too many problems spinning out of control. Sam is deep in it this time in what seems to sadly be normal for the quirky town of Hamlet.
